Sentispec Inventory
Automated stocktaking and cycle counting.
Count up to 3,000 units per hour, against 50 to 100 by hand scanner, and hold 99%+ stock accuracy with the warehouse still running. A camera unit rides on a forklift you already own, and AI identifies every pallet as the driver stocktakes the aisle. No drone, no autonomous robot.
Open your eyes to the power of visual data.
The cost you already carry
A manual stocktake costs more than the hours it takes.
Hand scanners move 50 to 100 pallets per hour. Counts need three to ten people over two to three days. The errors they miss turn into write offs, stopped lines and hours spent hunting for pallets that were never lost, only misplaced.
| Where the money goes | Today | With Sentispec Inventory |
|---|---|---|
| Pallets processed per hour | 50 to 100 | Up to 3,000 |
| Time for a complete stocktake | 3 to 10 people, 2 to 3 days | 1 person, 8 to 12 hours |
| Audit related labour cost | €50,000 | €5,000 |
| Lost pallet search | €100,000 to €200,000 | €10,000 to €20,000 |
| Labour efficiencies released | None | €100,000 to €300,000 per year |
How it works
Record, recognise, reconcile.
A forklift drives the aisles at up to 3,000 units per hour. Results build up aisle by aisle, with no clipboards and no shutdown. The mechanism runs in three steps.
Record
A forklift picks up the recording unit and drives the aisle at normal travel speed, one shelf level at a time, until every position is covered.
Recognise
AI identifies every pallet from its barcode and registers the positions that are empty. Each aisle is processed as soon as its recording is finished, so results arrive while the count is still running.
Reconcile
Sentispec Inventory syncs counted stock to your WMS automatically and flags discrepancies with the recording that shows them, so your team can act straight away.
Built for a working warehouse
Easy to operate, with no requirement for additional labels or specialist equipment. Easy to install, with two to three days of driver training and support for multi site rollouts. Flexible WMS correlation, so discrepancies surface automatically against the systems you already run. The annual fee is all inclusive: support, maintenance, camera leasing and software upgrades.

Features
Everything a count can tell you.
Seven capabilities from one pass down the aisle, from a wall to wall stocktake to a targeted lost pallet search. Every job the recording unit does is written up separately.
- Portable recording unitA self contained camera unit any forklift can pick up and drive down an aisle. Nothing fitted to your vehicles, nothing changed in your racking.
- Location level recognitionComputer vision identifies where every pallet actually sits, down to the individual position. Empty positions are reported too.
- Continuous cycle countingOngoing counts that hold 99%+ accuracy all year, instead of an annual full warehouse shutdown.
- Accuracy dashboard and audit reportsReal time accuracy, discrepancy alerts and audit ready reports, reachable from any device.
- WMS integration, or none at allZero integration effort. Exchange a stock file for a full discrepancy report on day one, and connect the standard API later if you want it.
- One device, up to five warehousesA single unit serves a cluster of up to five sites on a rota, which is what the Network tier is priced around.
- Zero downtime auditsA full warehouse audit without stopping operations. Counting happens during normal shifts, not after hours.
A recording unit moves between sites on a rota. A vendor selling an autonomous vehicle per building cannot, because the hardware is commissioned into one facility. Six things you can check before you call us, each with a number attached.
What it finds
Four differences that cost you money.
Every recording is matched line by line against your WMS. You see the exceptions, not the inventory you already trust. Priced against what a manual stocktake costs, the exceptions are where the money is.
Pallet in the wrong location
Found in a location different from what is in your WMS.
Pallet not present in your WMS
Physically there, invisible to your system.
Empty location where a pallet is expected
Your WMS is holding stock that is not there.
Expected pallet missing from the recording
Flagged for a targeted search rather than a full recount.
Every line in the list opens the recording that produced it, so a discrepancy is something your team can look at rather than something they have to trust. What each type usually means, and what to do about it, is set out for inventory managers.
Deployment
Live in five days.
Driver training is part of the week, not a project after it. Multi site rollouts run to the same schedule, and four weeks of hypercare follow go live. The five days, day by day.
- Unwrapping
- Calibration
- Initial recordings
- LPN translation validation
- Racking navigation validation
- Driver training starts
- Quality adjustments
- Admin training
- Acceptance test preparation
- Acceptance test sign off
- On site availability
- Retrospective
- Four weeks of hypercare
Proven in production
Ten warehouses, five countries, measured results.
Ten live deployments, from 5,000 to 85,000 pallet locations. Accuracy is measured after implementation, and break even is the point at which the site had recovered its cost. The method is stated in full on the ten site benchmark.

Case studies
Six deployments, six different problems.
Three warehouses, 100,000 locations, one unit
Audit cost down 80%, warehouse productivity up 6%, and seven minutes of loading administration saved per container, at a Nordic distribution business with over 70 years in logistics. Their CTO for warehousing is on the record.
Pharma, cold storeOne employee, one warehouse, under four hours
Stocktaking across dry, ambient and frozen zones down to minus 23 degrees, without sending anyone up a scissor lift. Inventory management cost down more than 80%, and auditor approved reports generated automatically.
ManufacturingProtecting uptime worth €7,000 a minute
A global wind turbine manufacturer needed 99%+ accuracy to keep production lines fed. Manual counting could not keep pace with high value, high tempo manufacturing. Break even in one month.
3PL, retail and fashion100,000 pallets scanned every month
Frequent audits of 30,000 to 100,000 pallets for high profile retail clients. Stock accuracy reached 99.97%, missing pallet labour fell 95%, and productivity rose 6 to 8% across the Northern European network.
3PL, multi customer hub3,600 hours of counting, cut to 80
Two annual wall to wall scans of 90,000 pallets across three sites in Eindhoven. Around two full time roles released each year and 99%+ accuracy held all year round.
Three of the top ten global contract logistics providers count with Sentispec Inventory, across many locations. The flagship is a three warehouse cluster of 100,000 pallet locations, where annual audit cost fell 90% and the sites broke even inside two months.
The solution brings real change and efficiency from day one.

Peak
An extra recording unit rented for a seasonal peak, for the weeks when a shared device is not enough. Nothing changes in the annual contract.
The annual fee is all inclusive: support, maintenance, camera leasing and every software upgrade. There is no robot to buy and no fixed infrastructure to install, so the setup fee covers calibration, WMS correlation and driver training rather than hardware you own and depreciate. One device can serve a cluster of up to five warehouses.
Questions we get asked
Before you book anything.
Do we have to stop operations to count?
No. A 20 minute run covers 500 to 1,000 pallets and is normally driven during a break or between tasks. Sites counting daily do it without releasing a single shift for stocktaking.
Do we need new labels or new racking?
No. The unit is taught to read the labels you already use, and it navigates the racking you already have. Nothing is fixed to the building.
How accurate is it?
Sites reach 99% and above after implementation, with several holding 99.99%. Accuracy is measured against a controlled count at go live and monitored afterwards, and every discrepancy comes with the image that produced it, so the number is auditable rather than asserted.
How much integration work does our IT team need to do?
None. It works out of the box. Import your stock file and you get a full discrepancy report back, which is enough to run counts indefinitely. When you want the correction to flow straight into your system, there is a standard API, and that is a decision you can take months after go live rather than before it.
Where is our data stored?
On your own premises. All data and all processing are on premise, so retention and access are yours to set and we never share your data with third parties. Cyber security is implemented to the ISO 27001 standard and externally audited according to ISAE 3000. The detail is on the security and data page.
How is this different from inventory drones or scanning robots?
Drones and autonomous robots are vehicles you buy, house, charge and work around. Sentispec Inventory is a camera unit that rides on a forklift you already own and drive. That is why a site goes live in five days rather than a quarter, and why the fastest recorded break even is one month.
