For finance, audit and risk

The business case for €39,550 a year.

€9,950 setup plus €39,550 a year for one site, all inclusive, and nothing to capitalise, because the recording unit is leased inside the fee. Every figure the paper needs, including the tiers and what the annual fee covers, is on the pricing page.

What inaccurate stock costs

The number that concentrates the mind is €7,000 a minute, the measured cost of a production line stopped for want of stock the system said was there. That figure comes from one manufacturing site's own numbers, set out in the wind turbine manufacturer case study, not a Sentispec estimate. Most sites don't carry that exact exposure. But every site carries some version of it: a write off taken at year end that a monthly count would have caught in weeks, or hours of warehouse labour spent searching for a pallet that a discrepancy report would have located on a screen.

On a medium warehouse, audit related labour typically falls from around €50,000 to €5,000 a year and lost pallet search from €100,000 to €200,000 down to €10,000 to €20,000. The full cost model, and the method behind it, is on the ROI calculator, which runs the arithmetic against your own figures.

Year end. A count that used to mean three to ten people over two to three days, timed around a shutdown, becomes one person over a single shift, run without stopping the warehouse, which is the difference between planning a stocktake and planning around one.

Questions we get asked

Before you sign it off.

What does a site cost, and what does a network cost?

One site is €9,950 setup plus €39,550 a year. Five sites or more is €8,950 setup plus €37,450 a year per site. Both are on the pricing page in full, with no gate and no call needed to see them, and the annual fee covers support, maintenance, camera leasing and every software upgrade.

What counts as proof behind a write off?

The recording that found the discrepancy. Every line in the discrepancy report, whether it's a pallet in the wrong bay or an empty location where stock is expected, opens the footage that produced it.

How fast does it pay back?

From one month at the fastest recorded site to a little over six months at the slowest, depending on what manual stocktaking was costing beforehand. The ROI calculator works it out against your own figures.

What does the €7,000 a minute figure actually refer to?

It's the measured cost of production downtime at one manufacturing site when inventory inaccuracy stopped a line, not a general claim. That is what inaccuracy costs when the stock feeds production rather than sitting in a distribution warehouse.
