Your driver does the count
You already have a reach truck and someone qualified to drive it. That's the whole count team. The recording unit is picked up on the forks, the driver runs the aisles at normal travel speed, one shelf level at a time, and hands it back at the end of the shift.
Deployment takes five days, including driver training, and it stays five days whether it's one site or the first of a network rollout. That matters because it doesn't become a project you have to manage: no facility change, nothing fitted to the vehicle, nothing added to the racking. Full wall to wall counts run during normal operating hours too, not after them.
Peak season. If volume spikes and one recording unit can't keep pace, Peak adds a second unit on a monthly rental for the weeks you need it, then it goes away again. No headcount to hire and release. Details are on the pricing page.
What changes on the floor
Discrepancies show up as a list, each line backed by the recording that found it, rather than a dispute about who counted what. A pallet in the wrong bay, or a location flagged empty when the WMS expects stock, gets a name and a location instead of a rumour on the floor. Questions we get asked
Before you put this on the floor.
Does the count interrupt picking or goods in?
No. Runs are driven during a shift, often a break, at up to 3,000 units per hour, so a full stocktake that used to take three to ten people two to three days now takes one person eight to twelve hours, without pulling anyone else off their normal work.
Whose driver runs it?
Yours. Anyone already qualified on the forklift can be trained to drive a recording run, and driver training is built into the five day deployment rather than bolted on afterwards.
What happens during peak season?
You can rent an extra recording unit through Peak for the weeks volume is highest, then release it. There's nothing to own or store for the rest of the year.
Does anything need to change in the warehouse?
No. Nothing is fitted to the vehicle and nothing changes in the racking, so there's no facility project to plan before go live.
