The case for a ground robot
A ground robot counts with nobody in the aisle.
A robot that scans the racking on its own schedule, day and night, produces a count with no driver involved at all. A camera carried on a forklift cannot do that.

Where they are the better choice. If you need continuous counting with nobody involved, day and night, in a single large facility that justifies a dedicated robot, Dexory removes the driver entirely and Sentispec Inventory does not. It needs a forklift and a driver for the length of each run, which is a real constraint on a site with no spare driver time.

Questions we get asked

The safety question procurement will ask. A vehicle that drives itself shares the floor with people, pallet trucks and forklifts, so it arrives with a risk assessment, operating rules and a decision about what happens where its route crosses a pedestrian one. Sentispec Inventory introduces no new vehicle: the recording unit rides on a forklift that is already part of the traffic your site manages, driven by a trained operator, so the safety case is the forklift safety case you already hold. At a live pharma site it went further, ending the practice of raising employees on scissor lifts to read labels at height, with improved compliance with workplace safety regulation recorded as an outcome.
Is Dexory's 99.9% accuracy figure comparable to Sentispec's?
Not directly. Dexory measures it their own way and we have not tested it. The Sentispec figure is 99%+ stock accuracy after go live, with individual sites reaching up to 99.99%, listed site by site on the benchmark page.
How fast can each actually go live?
Dexory publishes deployment in under two weeks. Sentispec Inventory is live in five days, including two to three days of driver training, followed by four weeks of hypercare. Neither figure includes procurement lead time.
Which costs less?
